Means for making foam comprises an atomizing nozzle 18 from which a foam generating liquid is projected, at a low pressure of the order of 0À5 to 3 kgs. per sq. cm., on to a foraminous screen 11 mounted on a conical support 15. Air or gas may be supplied with the liquid or through a space between supports 15, 17. Two or more foraminous screens may be provided and are preferably of curved form as shown. Specification 628,465 is referred to.
