Abstract

1,212,494. Method and apparatus for producing jets of fire extinguishing foam. SAVAS. 30 April, 1969 [3 May, 1968], No. 22056/69. Heading B1C. A jet of high expansion fire-extinguishing foam is ejected above a jet of foam of lower expansion so that it may be carried over a longer distance by the latter. The jets are produced by inducing air into streams of foamproducing liquid ejected through nozzles 16, 11 into tubes 1, 2. The degree of expansion of the foams may be governed by the shapes of the nozzles. Tube 1 may be longer than tube 2.
