1355283 Foam generator SOC DES ETABS SCHIFFERS 24 Jan 1972 3178/72 Heading B1C A high or medium expansion foam generator has a rotating atomiser 11 having radial arms 12 with orifices 13 through which a mixture of water with a foaming agent may be projected onto a screen 3. As a result of the rotation of the atomiser the liquid forms a rotating film, which acts as a jaw to draw air into the enclosure 2 and deliver a mixture of air and liquid to the screen. The aperture 13 may be perforations or consist of one or more slits, and may be associated with a film-forming deflector 14. There may be additional fixed atomisers 7. The apparatus is suitable for producing high (1:500 to 1:1000) or medium (1:50 to 1:200) expansion foam. Prior art devices are depicted in Figs. 1-4 (not shown).
