Abstract

801,172. Washing gases. BIGWOOD & SON, Ltd., J. Feb. 1, 1956 [Feb. 2, 1955], No. 3037/55. Class 55 (2). In a gas washer, a rotary spray drum 10 is supplied with liquid by a perforated pipe 17 which delivers the liquid into a space 15 between an upwardly inclined plate 14 and the drum. The plate 14 is adjustable relatively to the drum by swinging the support clips 22 on the pipe 17 and by moving the plate in its own plane as permitted by slots 24. The edge of the plate 14 is stiffened by a T-member 26. Specifications 485,155, 636,120, [Group XXVIII], and 801,173 are referred to.
