Abstract
411,901. Cables. SIEMENS & HALSKE AKT.-GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin. Dec. 14, 1932, No. 35490. Convention date, Dec. 14, 1931. [Class 36.] To prevent relative displacement of the conductor groups in a telephone cable comprising a number of twisted conductor groups, the groups are secured together by adhesive. The Figure shows a cable comprising spiral quads 34 arranged inllayers 31-33 and fastened together with paper strip 35 which is coated on one or both sides with adhesive and is wound between the layers of quads. The conductors of each quad may be adhesively secured together in addition. For this purpose an adhesive strip may be wound over the quad, or the strip may be inserted between adjacent conductors, or the conductors may be stuck to a central cord. Specification 389,118 is referred to.
