Abstract
411,740. Type-bar-maldng machines. INTERTYPE CORPORATION, 360, Furman Street, Brooklyn, New York, U.S.A. Oct. 23, 1933, No. 29296. Convention date, Nov. 19, 1932. [Class 100 (iii).] Moulds.-In moulds for casting slugs having an overhanging part h, Fig. 2, at least one of the mould liners c, Fig. 3, is provided with an exchangeable stop part k, which is shaped to cooperate with the upper part a, Fig. 4, of the mould, and to limit the length of the mould slot. The part k has a pin l fitting into a hole i in the liner. When the overhanging part of the slug is of rectangular cross-section, the part k is of corresponding form. The stop part may be pivoted to the liner, as shown in Fig. 9, so that it can be raised for casting overhanging lines or turned down into the plane of the liner for casting flat slugs.
