Abstract
Plastic compositions, particularly for heat insulation, comprise a mixture of ground peat and ordinary mechanical pulp, particularly knot pulp, without any other binding material. Water may be added to the mixture, and sheets of the dried material may be arranged in layers. Some of the sheets may be corrugated and the quantity of cellulose in the layers may vary. The layers may be arranged at right angles to each other to form cellular material, one set of layers containing less cellulose than the other. The sheets may be glued together with bitumen and the compound sheet especially the layers with high cellulose fireproofed or waterproofed. Filling material such as wood wool, and sawdust may be added to the mixture.
