R., c/o Salford Electrical Instruments, Ltd., Silk Street, Salford. Nov. 2, 1932, No. 30883. [Classes 36 and 37.] The insulation resistance between groups of wires in a cable, such as a loaded telephone cable, is determined by providing insulated wires connected individually to the groups so that they are normally enclosed in the main sheath or container, but are led out therefrom when making the test. The insulated wire connections are attached to a metal disc which is employed to seal the aperture through which the test wires are led.
