An aperture in a metal plate 1 through which a resiliently sheathed conductor 2 is led, is formed with a turnedover margin 3, and the diameter of the aperture is such that the cable sheath is compressed where it passes through the aperture. A reinforcing collar 4 may be placed around the margin 3, as described in Specification 667,393. Specifications 621,252 and 633,387 also are referred to.
