Abstract
410,393. SmaUarms. FROMMER, R. VON, 158, Soroksari Ut, Budapest. Sept. 30, 1933, No. 26971. [Class 119.] Breech actions, drop-down barrel.-In toplever operated drop-down barrel small-arms, a coupling-element arranged between the lever and the safety-device is adapted for connection to, or disconnection from the lever to determine the actuation, or not, of the safety-device by the movement of the lever. In the form shown in Fig. 1, a collar 7 slidable, but not rotatable, on the spindle 2 of the lever 1, has a lug 18 adapted to engage the end of the safetybar 19 when the collar is in the raised position (Fig. 2). The collar is urged downwardly by springs 13 to bear on a pin 6 resting on a button 14 by which the pin 6 is raised to move the collar 7 into its operative position. The button is adapted to be moved in the casing to seat a lug 15 on the button in either of the stepped recesses 16, 17 on the casing. Fig. 14 shows a modification in which the lug 18 controlling.the safety-bar is formed on a collar 27 which is keyed to the spindle of the lever 1 when the pin 6 is in the raised position by the engagement of a projection 30 on the pin in a notch 33 in the collar. Fig. 26 shows a modification in which the barrel-lock 39, operated by an eccentric 38 on the lever-spindle carries a pivoted lever 42 the alignment of which with the safety-bar 19 is controlled by the button 14. In a further modification, the spring-pressed pin which is positioned by the button 14 is fitted with a lug for direct engagement with the safety-bar.
