Abstract
409,261. Confining dust on generation. SIMON, Ltd., H., and BRIAN, J. C., Bird Hall Lane, Cheadle Heath, near Stockport. Dec. 7, 1932, No. 6578/34. Divided on 411,174. [Class 8 (ii).] In apparatus for the bulk weighing of flour and like materials, the issue of dust clouds during discharge through the door at the bottom of the weighing receptacle j is checked by the provision of a fixed hood 16 which surrounds but does not touch the receptacle, the ring 19 on the hood co-operating with parts 17, 18 on the receptacle to provide a tortuous path. The hood is fitted with an air vent 20 which is of large discharge capacity or is provided with means to prevent the issue of dust clouds therethrough into the atmosphere.
