721,182. Screw conveyers. TESKE F. Sept. 30, 1952, No. 24400/52. Class 78 (1). An inclined screw conveyer comprises a lower part 1, the convolutions of which progressively increase in diameter in the upward direction, an upper part 5 which tapers in the reverse direction and a casing 7 which completely surrounds the upper part and is cut away at 8 to provide an opening along one side of the part 1 to admit the material. The shaft 2 of the screw is supported by a structure 11 from which the casing 7 is suspended. The conveyer is supported by a pair of wheels 12 and a trailing wheel 13 which is rotatable about a vertical axis and may be driven.
