409,228. Loom warp stop - motions. SOC. ALSACIENNE DE CONSTRUCTIONS MECANIQUES, Mulhouse, Haut-Rhin, France. Nov. 2, 1933, No. 30520. Convention date, Nov. 3, 1932. [Class 142 (i).] In toothed-bar warp stop motions, the normally-movable bars 19 are mounted on a carriage 16 carrying a handle-lever 17 engaged in a slot 171 in a sector 9, which is slidable on an oscillating shaft 5 carrying a collar 6. Pins 10 on the sector 9 are normally held against shoulders 6<11> on the collar by means of a spring-pressed pin 7 between the collar and the sector The sector is thereby held in the raised position shown in Fig. 1. When a warp breaks, the motions of the bars 19 and of the sector are stopped, and relative rotation between the shaft 5 and the sector 9 causes the collar 6 to depress one or other of the pins 10 as shown in Fig. 5, so that the lower surface of the sector turns a stop-lever 14. The surface 9<1> is normally concentric with the shaft 5 so that the stop-lever 14 is stationary during normal operation. The handle 17 may be raised to disconnect the bars 19 from the oscillating sector 9 when finding broken warps. By arresting the movement of the handle 17, the operative may stop the loom at any time.
