Abstract

409,059. Screw propellers. GROCOCK, W. A., 307, Scarborough Road, Toronto, Canada. Nov. 25, 1932, No. 33445. [Class 114.] Propellers have ribs 3 on one or both faces arranged co-axially with respect to the propeller shaft. The ribs have their greatest height and thickness towards their leading ends and their extremities merge into the surface of the blade. The ribs have the cross-section shown in Fig. 2 with one flank 4 more acute with respect to the blade than the other flank 5 which merges in the curve 6 into the face of the propellers.
