407,446. Driving-chains. CALICO PRINTERS' ASSOCIATION, Ltd., and FIELD, J. F., St. James's Buildings, Oxford Street, Manchester. Nov. 3, 1932, No. 30939. [Class 24.] The connection between the links of a stenter chain consists of a bush a which is a press fit in the tongue of one link, provides a bearing for a pin e secured in the upper jaw of the adjacent link and fits into a bush d which is a press fit in the lower jaw. The pin e may screw into the upper jaw and terminates at the central portion of the joint, a hole h being provided to lubricate the joint from the chain race. Alternatively the pin e may extend completely through the joint, and the bush a may be of uniform diameter or slightly reduced where it enters the lower jaw. The bushes a, d may be keyed to their respective link parts as shown in Fig. 2.
