Driving and like chains with separate joint pins.- Relates to conveyer and like chains in which the jointpins a have split ends whereby they may be secured in the link-plates f by the insertion of a tapered screw e, and consists in forming this screw as a pin having a part of its length screwthreaded and the remainder unthreaded and 'tapered. The head of this screw may be formed as a grease-cup i communicating by a passage through the stem of the screw with a lubricating passage g in the joint-pin which leads to the bush h surrounding the pin. The bushes h may be secured by drifting their ends into key-seats formed in the eyes in the links.
