Abstract

406,165. Wrenches. KING, G. E., 23, North Cross Road, East Dulwich, London. May 16, 1933, No. 14163. [Class 61 (iii).] A hand-operated tool for applying metal capsules to bottles &c., comprises a ring- member 6 which fits over the bottle, a contractile wire-loop 13 located in a peripheral groove in the member 6 and handles 11 for operating the loop. The handles 11 are pivotally mounted on screws 10 and a finger pressure plate 8 is provided on the opposite side of the tool. A V-shaped spring 16 tends to keep the handles in the open position. An internal shoulder is provided in the ring- member to locate the loop relative to the groove on the bottle neck.
