Abstract
405,209. Winding &c. KRUPP GRUSONWERK AKT.-GES., F., Buckau, Magdeburg, Germany. Aug. 2, 1933, No. 21754. Convention date, June 14. [Class 83 (iv).] In a machine for winding and unwinding strip a framing carries driven rolls 1, 2 and rolls 4, 8 adjustable by screws 7, 11. In winding, the strip is fed in the direction x and is guided by roll 4. The roll 8 is adjusted to deflect the strip to form a coil W. In unwinding the coil W<1> is positioned by rolls 14 and a bar 20 adjustable by a screw 19 and the strip is fed in the direction y. The roll 8 is moved to an inoperative position or functions as a guide roll and the roll 4 acts as a bending roll.
