Abstract
405,134. Fluid - actuated valves. WEBSTER ELECTRIC CO., Racine, Wisconsin, U.S.A. March 29, 1933, No. 9477. Convention date, April 12, 1932. [Class 135.] A pressure-controlled valve 35 used in conjunction with a multi-stage gear pump 10 pumping oil to an oil burner comprises a needlevalve 43, pressed down by a spring 59 and controlling the supply pipe, and a metal bellows 48 which under a pre-determined pressure acts against the spring and raises the valve 43 to supply the burner and also, under further pressure, through a pivoted lever 46, raises a piston valve 64 which bye-passes part of the oil back to the supply tank 28 through the pipe 68. The piston valve has a graduated end 69. A screw 55 controls the spring pressure on the needle-valve. The interior of the bellows communicates with the atmosphere by way of holes 61.
