Abstract
403,952. Signs. WOOD, A., 16, Haslemere Avenue, West Ealing, London. May 3, 1932, No. 12715. [Class 3 (ii).] A reflector sign is provided with a lightcondensing plate of clear glass or other transparent material one face of which is formed with a plurality of small convex lenses having their foci at the plane face of the plate, and a dispersively reflecting surface at said plane face. As shown in Fig. 1, the sign comprises a light-condensing plate 3 and a bill poster 1 adjacent the back 2 of a frame, the poster serving as the dispersive reflector. In a modification, Fig. 2, the display matter in the form of a stencil 4 is held against the plate 3 by a glass plate 5, the face 3a of the plate 3 being provided with a white matt surface, e.g. of plaster of paris. Alternatively, the back of the frame may be painted white matt or a sheet of white paper may be held in the frame with the plane face of the plate 3 in contact therewith.
