Abstract
414,215. Signs. WOOD, A., 16, Haslemere Avenue, West Ealing, London. July 14, 1933, No. 19936. Class 3 (ii).] A road sign of the kind comprising a rectangular casing carrying displayed matter at its front and a ring or disc placed above the casing, is characterized in that the rear face of the top ring or disc which is made of transparent or translucent material, is illuminated by light from inside the casing which passes upwards through the top of said casing. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the casing comprising detachable parts A, B is provided with reflecting walls and mirrors M1, M2 which reflect light from the lamps L on to the stencil S and through the top C8 on to the ring R, preferably of prismatic glass.
