Abstract
401,081. Rotary engines. DAW, Z. W., (also representative of DAW, A. W.), 11, Queen Victoria Street, London. Sept. 14, 1932, No. 25532. [Class 110 (ii).] In a rotary internal-combustion engine of the intermittent abutment type, as described in Specifications 300,784, [Class 110 (ii), Rotary engines &c.], and 346,686, the fuel inlet port 6 leads from an induction pipe 7 which has two branches 8, 9 leading to the fuel supply 12 and main exhaust pipe 5 respectively. Non- return valves 15, 15a of any type are supplied in these branches so that a back flow of gas from the engine shuts valve 15 and opens valve 15a, or during a suction through the port 6, valve 15 opens and the other closes. In the Figure, plate valves are supported on light springs 16, 16a.
