Abstract

400,113. Windscreen-cleaners. BRUMM, E., 11<bis>, Rue St-Gervais, Lyons, France. May 2, 1933, No. 12746. Convention date, May 4, 1932. [Class 138 (i).] The wiper arm of a windscreencleaner is in two parts with relative sliding movement, the parts being locked together by means of the spring which applies the wiper against the windscreen. In the construction shown, the wiper arm consists of two parts 8, 10, the part 10 being formed with notches 10a for engagement by a stirrup 13 pivoted to the part 8. The stirrup is held engaged in a notch by the spring 16 which acts to press the wiper 11 against the windscreen. The stirrup and notches may be replaced by a cam lever adapted to be wedged against a smooth rod. The wiper arm is pivoted to a web 1 connected by a swivel joint 5 to a stud 2, in which is fixed by a screw 6 a connecting rod 7 for driving a second windscreencleaner.
