Abstract

399,827. Alternating-current induction motors.. FRIDKIN, P. A., U1, Lenina 1, log 2, Leningrad. April 9, 1932, No. 10238. [Class 35.] In an electrically driven carding-engine the carding drum forms the rotor of the driving motor. The drum T, Fig. 1, is provided with copper rods A arranged in peripheral grooves and with short-circuiting rings C. The stator D is formed as a removable segment and the coils E may be arranged for single or multi-phase working. The doffer may be similarly driven. The doffing comb Y, Fig. 3, is oscillated through electromagnets G, L the coils L being energized with current generated in end coils B on the stator D.
