Abstract
398,448. Cigarette-making machines. TRIGGS, W. W., 57, Lincoln's Inn Fields, London.-(American Machine & Foundry Co. ; 511, 5th Avenue, New York, U.S.A.) April 13, 1933, No. 11079. [Class 130.] In an arrangement for delivering cigarettes in aligned rows, the finished cigarettes are carried into compartments 18 provided in an endless conveyer 15, the lower run of which extends over a table 19, and the cigarettes are moved forwards along the compartments 18 by a slowly-moving endless belt 21 arranged to work in a recess across the table 19, alternate cigarettes being stopped half-way by partitions 48 provided in alternate compartments. The cigarettes are thus delivered in two aligned rows on to a conveyer 50. The cigarettes are transferred from the machine to the compartments 18 by a pair of endless belts 30, 31, the lower of which is in line with the table 19. For delivering plain cigarettes in a single row, the partitions 48 would be omitted.
