834,127. Cigarette - making machines. AMERICAN MACHINE & FOUNDRY CO. Dec. 3, 1956 [Dec. 30, 1955], No. 36856/56. Class 130. Pairs of mouthpiece or tipped cigarettes arranged on a conveyer 10 with their mouthpiece or tip portions adjacent one another are carried against a stop 14 which holds the mouthpiece or tip ends stationary while the cigarettes pivot through 90 degrees on inclined shoots 16, 18, the cigarettes finally falling through openings 15, 17, in the shoots on to a conveyer 25 with their mouthpieces or tips all facing in the same direction. The belt 25, which conveys the cigarettes to collecting trays, may be provided with side guides 20, 22. In a modification, Fig. 5, the stop 14 is replaced by a rotating wheel 26.
