Abstract
395,222. Railway vehicle undercarriages. CERETTI & TANFANI SOC. ANON., Bovisa, Milan, Italy. Oct. 31, 1932, No. 30673. Convention date, Oct. 31, 1931. [Class 103 (vi).] Funicular carriage or conveyer ways are provided with a rail or equivalent solely forguiding and braking purposes. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the car has wheels a running on a flat track b and is provided with a structure j carrying a brake c and guide wheels d for engaging a rail f. The car frame may be spring mounted on the axles and the wheels may have elastic tyres or the wheels may be of the kind wherein the hubs are resiliently mounted with respect of the rims and to accommodate the vertical movement of the frame the structure j may be mounted on guides g and be provided with a roller e running on the rail f. In modifications, the guide wheels d and brake c may engage the vertical faces of a #-shaped rail or of a U-shaped rail disposed beneath the level of the track b. The structure j in this case may be rigidly secured to the car frame l.
