Abstract
375,236. Railway vehicle undercarriages. MICHELIN ET CIE, Clermont- Ferrand, Puy-de-Dome, France. Feb. 8, 1932, No. 3758. Convention date, March 19, 1931. [Class 103 (vi).] In order to permit the running of light rail vehicles at high speeds on tracks having comparatively sharp curves, the vehicle bodies are. mounted on light bogey units, the wheels of which are fitted with pneumatic tyres, whereby vibrations due to unevenness of track &c., with derailment as a possible consequence, are not communicated to the bogies. Peripheral guide flanges are fitted on the inner side of the pneumatic tyred wheels, e.g. as described in Specification 362,940.
