Abstract

394,569. Disinfecting-apparatus for water-waste-preventers. NOKES, W. C., 150, High Street, Sheerness, Kent. Nov. 16, 1932, No. 32423. [Class 26.] In a float-operated disinfectant device, the float-carrying rods c pass to the interior of a reservoir a through sleeves d extending above the level of disinfectant ; each rod is bent over in U-fashion at its upper end to support a spindle f upon which a bucket g is pivoted. The bucket moves against a vertical guide-plate h, and tilts at the top to pass its contents into a discharge funnel k, to which the plate h is secured. The float may actuate the bucket through a rocking-lever and may be disposed within a chamber communicating with the cistern. A well m may be formed below the base of the reservoir so that the latter may be completely emptied.
