Abstract

393,398. Electromagneticinterrupters. ROSENKILDE, H., 50, Islehusvej, Husum, Copenhagen. April 14, 1932, No. 10685. Convention date, April 14, 1931. [Class 38 (v).] A vibrating rectifier has the contact-carrying tongue or armature mounted on a yielding base member adapted to absorb energy transmitted from the armature and confacts and to damp any natural vibrations of the moving system, the base consisting of a supporting member of felt, rubber, sand or similar shock-absorbing and energyabsorbing material. As shown in the Figure, the polarized armature 3 is adapted to oscillate between polepieces 1, 2 energized by an A.C. field, a lateral projection of the armature being secured on a yielding supporting member 12 consisting of felt, rubber, sand or the like held between carriers 13, 14. The relatively fixed contact 5 is secured to the armature directly, while the relatively movable contact 6 is carried by a blade spring 4 secured to an insulating block 8 attached to the armature by screws 10, 11. Alternatively the blade 4 may be attached directly to the support 12. For double-wave rectification a second contact 6<1> may be arranged as shown in dotted lines on the opposite side of the tongue 3
