Abstract

488,729. Thermal switches. SANTON, Ltd., and SANDERS, H. C. Feb. 3, 1937, No. 3118. [Class 38 (v)) A rod 5 carries a platform 11 having a pair of independently adjustable screws 12, 13 provided with insulating abutments 25, 26 for engagement with a pair of resilient contact blades 7, 8. On expansion of a sleeve 4, rod 5 moves down, thus moving the blades 7, 8 downwards away from fixed contacts 27, 28, a snap action being given by permanent magnets 17, 18 acting on armatures 14, 15 on the blades 7, 8. The blades return upwards due to their own resiliency.
