Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 39 (i).] An amplifier having a direct-current glow discharge constituting the cathode has a filling of one or more of the gases hydrogen, argon, krypton, and xenon. It is stated that the electrode arrangement and construction and the gas pressure are such that an anode voltage higher than the ionizing voltage of the gas filling can be employed without setting up an independent glow discharge.
