Abstract

391,314. Moving signs. NEWMAN & SONS, Ltd. W. and SHEAD, H. C., 268, Hospital Street, Birmingham. May 2, 1932, No. 12547. [Class 3 (i).] A prismatic sign 15 with wording on two faces and pivoted at its ends 16 is turned on its axis in an apertured casing 12 by a rock shaft 9 at an angle thereto with a pin 18 or the like engaging the prism to rotate it, the shaft being rotated by a sliding bolt 1. A forked arm 7 on one end of the rock shaft 9 engages a pin 8 on the door bolt 1, a pin 18 on the other end of which engages lugs 17 or a notch on the back of the triangular prism 15. The shaft may comprise two telescopic portions 6, 9 and may carry a forked arm engaging a pin on the prism. The rotation of the shaft 9 may be limited by a key thereon engaging a gap in a plate 11.
