Abstract

390,459. Door bodies; panels. ALDAM, E. H., Britannic Works, Haslemere Avenue, London. Nov. 25, 1932, No. 33366. [Classes 20 (iii) and 20 (iv).] A door is composed of one or two panels consisting of a number of horizontal or vertical or inclined parallel wooden strips housed in a metal channel or like frame a and secured together by nails c and tongue-and-groove or other invisible means. A sheet or sheets of metal, preferably corrugated, or metal and asbestos may be interposed when two panels are provided, the nails being driven through the sheets and the edges of the strips being shaped as shown in Fig. 6. One or both vertical edges of the door may have a wooden batten fitted into an H-section frame member a<1>, Fig. 5. One vertical frame member is removably secured by gussets &c. a<2> to permit the insertion of the strips.
