Abstract

1337541 Glazing IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 27 April 1970 [8 May 1969] 23461/69 Addition to 1264307 Heading E1R The glazing assembly of the Specification 1264307 is modified in that the adhesive material employed to bond the sheet of glazing material to the edge strip contains as the adhesion providing component a copolymer comprising by weight from 50% to 93% of ethylene, from 2% to 40% of methacrylic acid and from 5% to 48% of one or more vinyl, acrylic or methacrylic esters and from 0 to 15% of styrene. Fig. 3 shows how the glazing assembly may be secured by vertically spaced pairs of dismantlable hinges 107 supported on rigid PVC strips 104 fastened to the inwardly facing surfaces of the brickwork 101 surrounding a window aperture to form a double window; the frame 102 being fixed or openable.
