915,471. Curtain walling frames. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Feb. 1, 1961 [Feb. 4, 1960], No. 3999/60. Class 20 (3). A metal frame member such as a mullion 1 has its exposed surface protected by a cladding 3 of a vinyl chloride polymer, e.g. a copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate which containes up to 15% by weight of vinyl acetate, and of thickness 0.01- 0.1 inch, each of its longitudinal edges being turned outwards and clamped between a ledge 8 on the mullion and an adjacent window or panel frame 6. The minimum length of the cladding strips is 2 ft. and the maximum length is 15 feet and the maximum width of the trough is 6 inches and minimum width is one-quarter inch. The cladding may be formed by heating and bending to required shape or by vacuum forming or formed by extrusion.
