Abstract
389,958. Saddle covers. BAWDEN, S. G. R., 23, Pansy Road, Bassett, and BLAKE, G. R., Adanac, Crabwood Road, Mill brook, both in Southampton. Feb. 1, 1932, No. 2932. [Class 136 (iii).] In a saddle cover of the type normally wound on a spring roller, the roller casing a is provided with a centrally-disposed fastening bracket f, which is adapted to be inserted at the rear of the saddle between the leather g and the frame h of the saddle and is stamped with a forwardlydirected clip i for engagement beneath the frame h and with two rearwardly-directed barbs k adapted to bite into the under surface of the leather g to prevent easy removal. The end members of the casing are provided with pivot studs whereon the ends of the coil spring and of the surrounding tubular roller are mounted. The front end of the cover has a finger-piece d and a clip e to engage the peak of the saddle.
