Abstract
389,831. Wireless receiving-apparatus. PARAGON RUBBER MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd., 12, Norfolk Street, Strand, and ATKINS, H. C., 335, Princes Gardens, Acton, both in London. Sept. 23, 1931, No. 26557. [Class 40 (v).] Relates to wireless receiving or like apparatus employing a loud-speaker, in which protection of the valve or valves against microphonic interference is effected by screening the valve's from the direct influence of the sound vibrations emitted from the diaphragm. According to the invention, the loudspeaker b is so located that the chassis members g<1>, of - considerable width, serve to screen the valves d, the loud-speaker being preferably directed upwardly. Alternatively screening members such as h, Fig. 2, are adjustably mounted on the chassis g, or they may be otherwise adjustably interposed between the loud-speaker and the valves.
