389,587. Signs. BOZIER, R. G., 91, Alma Road, Winton, HOLLAND, W. F., Daybrook, Kinson, and WINTER, W., 74, Gladstone Road, Boscombe, all in Bournemouth. Dec. 17, 1931, No. 34922. [Class 3 (ii).] A weatherproof sign is made by coating a sheet of preferably coloured glass 10 with a layer of paint 11, covering this again with a layer of lead or other metal foil 12 which is attached preferably by adhesive after the paint has dried, and finally removing parts of the foil and paint together as at 13 to form the sign, either as transparent lettering on an opaque ground or vice versa. The foil is removed by cutting, after which the paint is removed by a suitable solvent. The finished sheet may be backed by a reflective or other backing and framed.
