Abstract

1,248,401. Adhesive patch. GOODSTRACK Ltd. 13 Dec., 1968 [6 Jan., 1968], No. 962/68. Heading B5N. [Also in Divisions B2 and B6] A weather-resistant adhesive patch suitable for application to the damaged paintwork of vehicles comprises a flexible plastics film e.g. polyvinyl chloride, polyester or cellulose acetate which is either pigmented or is transparent or translucent and has a coloured coating applied on one side, a coating of waterproof pressuresensitive adhesive on the pigmented film or said coloured coating, said adhesive engaging a releasable protective sheet. The adhesive may contain a rust inhibitor e.g. zinc oxide. The film may be severed by die cutting before or after application of the protective sheet, surplus film being removed in order to leave a plurality of patches on a common release sheet.
