388,600. Valve amplifying circuits. LOEWE, S., 10, Wiesenweg, Steglitz, and KAPTEYN, P., 5, Schwalbacherstrasse, Friedenau, both in Berlin. April 28, 1932, No. 12197. Convention date, April 29, 1931. [Class 40 (v).] In resistance-coupled high frequency amplifiers employing screen-grid valves, feed-back is obtained by coupling an inductance in the screen-grid circuit to the input inductance. Fig. 2 shows the application of the invention to a two-stage amplifying valve comprising two screen-grid stages, the inductance 10 in the screen-grid circuit of the first stage being coupled to the input coil 4. The coupling may be varied by varying the displacement between the coils or by variation of screen or control grid potential. In a modification, the inductance 10 may be in the screen-grid circuit of the second stage, Fig. 3 (not shown). The invention is also applicable to low-frequency amplifiers.
