Abstract
388,162. Plywood tubes. CHRISTIE, R., 5, Lloyds Avenue, London. Dec. 22, 1931, Nos. 35457/31 and 9190/32. Drawings to Specification. [Class 145 (ii).] A rigid laminated tube is formed from a continuous strip of laminated material laid spirally with butt joint in one or more planes. To prepare the strip, a laminated wooden sheet which may have the grains of the various laminae running parallel, is cut into strips and the strips are joined end to end, the ends of the different laminµ being staggered to facilitate this. The tube may have several layers of laminated strip and one or more of the layers may be laid longitudinally instead of spirally.
