[Class 29.] Compression machines.-A squirrel-cage motor 3 arranged with the compressor 2 within a casing 1 forming part of the refrigerant space is supplied from an external generating set comprising a direct or alternating current motor 5 driving an alternating-current generator 4. The speed of the generating plant may be regulable and the squirrel cage motor may be supplied with a frequency of more than fifty cycles so as to be run at a high speed. The compressor may be of the rotary type directly coupled to the motor. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also the use of an oil, steam, or water power engine as the prime mover in place of the electric motor 5. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
