Abstract

387,152. Electric incandescent lamp bulbs. BACKER, L. F. DE, 69, Boulevard de la Senne, Vilvorde, Belgium. March 7, 1932, No. 6839. [Class 39 (ii).] An electric incandescent lamp bulb is provided with an integral reflector produced by one or more reflecting-coatings 6 upon the outer surfaces of facets, flutings, prisms, corrugations or like projections 3 which are pressed, blown, or otherwise formed upon adjacent portions of the neck 1 and spherical or bulbous portion 2 of the lamp. The flutings &c. may be in continuous succession or otherwise and, in lamps for shop-window lighting, the reflecting portion is provided on one side only of the lamp, so that light is flooded in one direction. The reflecting-coating 6 may be applied by a wet process, or by gilding or silvering.
