387,050. Valve amplifying circuits. SANDERSON, W. T., Fullers, Mannings Heath, Horsham, Sussex, and BLACKBURN, R., 10, Bittacy Park Avenue, Mill Hill, London. Oct. 21, 1931, No. 29228. [Class 40 (v).] A valve amplifier for audio or radio frequencies has a low-resistance tuned circuit g, h connected in a common portion of the grid and plate circuits adjacent to the indirectlyheated cathode f, thereby sharply attenuating any signal of the frequency of the tuned circuit. As shown applied to an audio-frequency amplifier, the circuit g, h is tuned to an interfering audio-frequency such as a Morse note or a heterodyne whistle. Grid bias may be obtained from a resistance i in the common branch. For radio frequencies, the circuit g, h is tuned to an unwanted frequency, and the connection from the cathode f may be made to a variable tapping on the coil g. Several circuits such as g, h, tuned to different interfering frequencies, may be used.
