386,934. Flow-meters. NORTON, A. L., Metchley, Prospect Hill, Redditch, Worcestershire. Nov. 23, 1931, No. 30493/32. Divided on 385,084, [Group XX]. [Class 69 (i).] A flow-meter for use with water-flow calorimeters comprises an inlet tube adapted to receive the liquid from a calorimeter, a level indicating tube in communication therewith and a discharge opening of small area so that a head of water is induced in the level indicator to indicate the approximate rate of flow through the calorimeter. In the form shown, the inlet tube 1 is connected to the level indicator 3 by a horizontal tube 2 and the discharge opening 4 is at the bottom of the indicator 3 but may alternatively be placed in the lower part of the tube 1 or in the passage 2.
