386,797. Brush-holders for dynamoelectric machines. ORR, W., 327, Southey Green Road, Sheffield, and ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London. Jan. 27, 1932, No. 2526. [Class 35.] A brush-holder having one or more pins 5 provided with insulation 6 for clamping it in position, has clamping means for the pin or pins which is detachably connected to the machine frame at abutting surfaces which are parallel to the direction of adjustment of the brush box 3 and have uniform transverse serrations. In the form shown, the pins 5 are clamped between a clamping plate and a member 8 having a serrated face by bolts 7, and the member 8 is held against a plate 11, which has transverse serrations and is welded to the frame 9, by means of a bolt 12 passing through a slot in the member 8 and a hole in the frame 9.
