Abstract
385,822. Hot-water bottles. WEBB, J. T., 15, Colvestone Crescent, Dalston, London. April 23, 1932, No. 11750. [Class 64 (ii).] A detachable vent which may be applied to an ordinary hotwater bottle or the like comprises a tube d mounted in a disc e having a discontinuous depending flange f resting on the usual stopper socket. The lower end of the tube d is provided with a flared rubber tube h. The disc e may be a tight fit on the tube d, or it may be retained between the upper end of the tube h and a rubber ring i. The disc e may be replaced by a four-armed spider, and the tube d may be turned over at the top to deflect escaping steam downward.
