Abstract

624,639. Valve closure members. SITZLER, L. E. Oct. 31, 1946, No. 32344. [Class 135] In a water or like tap, a sleeve 9, loosely em. bracing the usual jumper disc 5 and a rubber or like deformable washer 6, has its lower edge spun or surged over to form an inturned lip 10. Its upper edge 12 is either burred over or formed with inturned tabs to prevent separation of the parts. The washer may be shaped to receive the lip 10. The spigot 7 may be waisted instead of being threaded or may be dispensed within the case of a washer without an aperture.
