385,482. Vamp - guards for shoes. COSMOS PATENTS CORPORATION, 342, Madison Avenue, New York, U.S.A. March 11, 1932, No. 7277. Convention date, March 20, 1931. [Class 17 (ii).] A guard for the protection of the instep 3 of the foot against the vamp edge 2 of a shoe comprises a foldedover piece of flexible material, such as leather, celluloid, &c., which fits over the vamp edge 2. The guard is preferably formed from an elliptical piece of material, the upper folded portion 5 being notched, as at 8, and the folded edge 7 being concave in shape to conform to the instep 3.
